The Whitney Smith Company is conducting the 33rd annual Tarrant County Salary Survey. The survey includes both exempt and nonexempt positions. A cross section of the Tarrant County business community was offered the opportunity to participate in this study.
This year’s survey analyzed salaries on 122 positions. Each surveyed position stratifies salary data by high, low, mean, median, 25th and 75th percentiles and number of incumbents. The salary data is represented in annual, monthly and hourly rates. Managerial and professional jobs were further analyzed by company size (five size breaks by number of employees). The survey also includes data on salary increase trends, salary budget projections, salary structure adjustments and shift differential practices. Participants submit their data electronically via a Word document and Excel spreadsheet.

The survey is sponsored by the Permian Basin Petroleum Association in order to bring an industry compensation survey to its members, as well as to nonmembers, who have E&P operations in the Permian Basin area.
The 2023 survey will report annual base salary/hourly rates, annual bonus data, target bonus percentages, long-term incentives and total annual compensation for over 90 benchmark positions. Each surveyed position stratifies salary data by high, low, mean, median, 25th, and 75th percentiles. Results are reported in aggregate, as well as by company size groups when sufficient data is available. All data is held in the strictest of confidence.
